Dear Colleagues,
Taking as a legacy the lively and substantive discussion of the recent meeting of the Committee of SETIP at Teleperformance and based on the sentiments expressed for participation by many colleagues, we are proceeding to reconvene on Wednesday 26/10 at Platonos 31 in Kallithea. With the momentum from our massive General Assembly of our Sectoral Union, the militant plan of action decided, we discuss our action for organization of the strike on 9 November and our most effective response against the consequences of government policy.
Enough with the mockery of absorbing even these meager increases through decreasing the amount they provide as bonus, enough with taking on our backs all of the increased costs for electricity and soon heating in our homes. With a working from home bonus that is not even enough to cover our internet costs. At the same time that the company has the audacity to ask us to cover any delays or problems with the connection until a full 8-hour working day is reached. But also forcing colleagues to work overtime for days taken on sick leave. All this so Teleperformance can boast record profits built on our labor.
The time has come for us to stand up, to say enough is enough because “this is a bottomless pit”. In the year 2022, we are asked to dress better, to bathe once or twice a week, to save them some energy. To teach our families and our children to survive with as little means as possible. With lights switched off, cold houses, empty refrigerators and cupboards. They are asking us to choose between working from home to save on gasoline or working from the office to save on oil.
We will not let them continue to drag us back to the middle ages for their profits!
There are too many of us to be alone!
Our common problems can be solved through our common militant action and solidarity. The way out of the bleak future they want for us, is the class oriented struggle and collective action. Through the ranks of our Sectoral Union of SETIP. We take courage from the achievements that have been managed through militant actions in a series of workplaces (COSCO, EFOOD, LARCO, etc.), from Collective Labour Agreements that have been signed, such as the case of construction workers, from the militant mobilisations that are taking place throughout Europe. From the action of the Trade Union Committee itself, because it has managed to prevent dismissals, to prevent the cameras from entering our homes when the employer insolently demanded it, to always stand by all the workers of the company.
We need to be stronger. We strengthen our Union’s Committee. Starting with this strike, because without us no call is answered, no chat, no emails are written and no tickets closed. To meet our modern needs and to live in accordance with the real technological capabilities provided by science in the 21st century.
All join the Union’s Committee Meeting on Wednesday, October 26 at 19.00 at
Platonos 31 in Kallithea.
We fight for:
-
A Collective Labour Agreement that guarantees increases in all wages.
-
Decoupling of wages and productivity. Absences, monitoring, KPIs etc. should not define
-
our wages.
-
Permanent contracts for all, with a single employer Teleperformance.
-
5 days, 7 hours, 35 hours for all, abolition of all flexible work forms
-
Optional working from home. The cost of which to burden solely the employer.
-
Immediate abolition of the unacceptable application of the clean desk policy.
-
Provision of metro and bus cards by the company, bus routing for those not covered by public transport.
-
Reduction and cap on the price of electricity and gas.
-
Abolition of Special Consumption Tax and VAT on oil, petrol, gas
-
and electricity.
-
Reduction and capping of prices on basic consumer goods.
-
Abolition of VAT on basic consumer goods.
WE DEMAND NOW THE SIGNING OF A SECTORAL COLLECTIVE LABOUR AGREEMENT
AND MEASURES TO SUPPORT OUR INCOMES FROM THE PRICE OF GOODS
