Colleague was reinstated with full rights!

Colleagues, on Monday 22 January 2024 the employer of Teleperformance withdrew the unacceptable blackmail proposal to suspend a colleague after a 3-day sick leave due to an emergency hospitalization in a public hospital.

It is reminded that the employee, a member of SETIP, on Friday 19 January when she returned to the workplace to continue her training on a Western Digital project, she was informed by the trainer that she was prohibited from continuing. The employee, surprised, contacted HR asking for an explanation as her three-month contract is still in effect.

There she was even more surprised to be informed that due to her absence for health reasons, she was left out of the project. In addition, she was told that she would not be paid until she got into a new project – and that would not be tomorrow or next week, but in March, 2 months later!

When the colleague refused the company’s illegal offer, HR responded that if she didn’t like it she could quit. The colleague contacted SETP and immediately rushed to report the unacceptable practices of Teleperformance to the Labour Inspectorate.

Despite the colleague’s protest, the company came back with another unacceptable proposal that would leave her again without a job and without pay for 21 days!

After continued pressure, the management had no choice but to withdraw the blackmail for forced unpaid leave!

The colleague will continue in the project she was dismissed from – without any harmful changes to her contract – and will be left with not a single day unpaid!

Colleagues, yet another example that a lost cause is only one that is not given! Blackmail and management manipulation did not pass!

We continue the struggle! No one alone! We are not going to get used to the brutality and middle-age working conditions! They will find us against them in every illegal action, unpaid working hour, lay-off!
